1or8 Content Writer

One or Eight is looking for a Content Writer to help shape how we speak to our audience across South Asia. From sports coverage to brand storytelling, this role sits at the center of how people experience One or Eight beyond the screen.

You will write across multiple formats and platforms, always with a focus on clarity, voice, and consistency. This role is ideal for someone who loves sports, understands audiences, and can adapt tone without losing the brand's identity.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the words that represent One or Eight across our platforms.

This includes:

• Writing sports related editorial content, previews, recaps, and features

• Creating brand copy for our website, campaigns, and marketing materials

• Collaborating with the design and social teams to write content that fits visual formats

• Maintaining a consistent brand voice across all written touchpoints

• Researching topics, teams, and events to ensure accuracy and relevance

• Editing and proofreading content before publication to maintain quality

You will often work under tight timelines, especially around live sports events, so pace and accuracy both matter.

Requirements

We care more about how you write and think than about a specific background.

You should have:

• Strong writing skills in English, with excellent grammar and attention to detail

• A genuine interest in sports, particularly within the South Asian context

• The ability to adapt tone and style across different formats, from short social captions to longer editorial pieces

• Good research skills and comfort working with facts, statistics, and quotes accurately

• The ability to manage multiple pieces of content at once, especially during busy sports schedules

It would be a strong plus if you also have:

• Prior experience writing for a media, sports, or brand focused organization

• Familiarity with SEO best practices for digital content

• Basic understanding of content performance metrics and how they shape editorial decisions
